The Bells and Whistles Came With a Big Bill
A website chat makes a lot of sense for a small business. People visit your site at night, on weekends, and right in the middle of your busiest day, and they usually have a question or two before they’re ready to pick up the phone.
When I started looking at chatbots for my clients, the ones with the features that actually matter tended to be the expensive ones. Answers drawn from your own business information, contact capture, a real dashboard, and a way for a person to step in were often tied to higher plans or paid add ons. The cheaper options usually left something important out, or put another company’s name front and center on your website.
I wanted my clients to have all the bells and whistles of those high dollar chatbots, without the high dollar bill. So I built one. That’s AMP Spark Pro.
What AMP Spark Pro Does
The short version: it’s an AI chat for your website that answers visitors’ questions using information you approve, and it makes sure you know who asked.
- It gets the introduction first. Before the first answer, the visitor shares a name, email, and phone number. If they close the tab, you still have a way to follow up.
- It answers from your business, not the whole internet. Your website pages, documents, and notes become its knowledge. Answers can link back to the page they came from, and questions it can’t answer from your information are left for you instead of guessed at.
- You can step in anytime. Your team can claim a conversation, reply personally, leave private notes for each other, and hand it back to the AI when you’re done.
- Your leads come to you. New leads and chat recaps can be emailed to you on your schedule. More on that below.
- It looks like yours. Your logo, your colors, your welcome message, and no “powered by” badge from me.
- It shows you what’s missing. The dashboard lists the questions it couldn’t answer, so you can add that information and help the next visitor.
There’s more under the hood, including separate team logins, built in moderation that checks both questions and replies, lead exports, and control over which pages show the chat. You can see the full list on the AMP Spark Pro features page.
Built to Run Lean
Features are only half of it. I also wanted it to run efficiently, because a chatbot that slows down your website is working against you.
The chat is small. The part your website loads up front is under 2 KB, and the whole chat window is only about 15 KB. It also waits until your page has finished loading and the browser has a free moment before it brings in the chat, so your visitors see your content first. It runs on Cloudflare, the same network I trust for my own website.
The dashboard even shows how many AI responses your chatbot has made and what they’ve cost, so you’re never guessing about usage. Running lean is a big part of how I can offer all of this for $50 a month.
Why It Helps Your Business
A lot of visitors leave a website without ever filling out a contact form. A friendly chat gives them a quick way to ask their question, and it gives you a name and a phone number when they do.
It also saves you time. Instead of answering the same questions about hours, service areas, and how to get started over and over, the chat handles those from the information you’ve approved. You get to spend your time on the conversations that really need a person.
And because I built it and manage it, you’re not stuck waiting in a support queue. I personally review every new member’s website to make sure it’s a good fit, and I can help you get it installed. It works on most websites that allow custom code, including WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, and custom sites like the ones I build. I use it on my own website, too.
You Don’t Have to Read Every Chat
Here’s something I kept in mind the whole time I was building it: not every business owner has time to sit and read through chatbot conversations. You’re running a business. You’re on a job site, with a customer, or just trying to get through the day.
That’s why AMP Spark Pro can email you a summary of your new leads and conversations at a time that works best for you. You pick the days, the time, your time zone, and the email address it goes to. Each summary includes the visitor’s contact details, a short recap of what they asked, and a link to the full conversation if you want more context. If you’d rather not get emails on the weekend, skip those days and Monday’s summary will include everything from the weekend. And if nobody reached out, you won’t get an empty email.
So you can check your leads over your morning coffee, call back the people who need a call, and get on with your day.
See It for Yourself
The easiest way to understand what it does is to try it. Visit ampsparkpro.com and ask the chat a question. When you’re ready, sign up for AMP Spark Pro or reach out to me, and let’s talk about what your visitors are asking and how to get your chat answering them.
