Lonnie's Western Room in Nashville, TN

The Client

Lonnie runs Lonnie’s Western Room, Nashville’s oldest karaoke bar. The room has been providing karaoke entertainment since 1989, and it has welcomed some of the world’s most famous country music singers and celebrities.

But you don’t have to be famous to get on stage. Anyone can sing at Lonnie’s. That is a big part of the appeal: a good time, a great atmosphere, and a room full of friends and people who are about to become friends.

I’ve worked with Lonnie since 2008, helping him keep that personality visible online while the website has changed over the years.

The Objective

Lonnie’s first web provider left without a trace, leaving the business without the online presence it needed. The immediate priority was to recover the site and get Lonnie back up and running so the business would not lose an important way for people to find it.

After that first recovery, the website needed to:

  1. Give locals and visitors a quick sense of what a night at Lonnie’s is like.
  2. Make it easy to plan a visit and find the important details.
  3. Show the people, photos, history, and personality behind the room.
  4. Work well on phones for people deciding what to do while they are already out.
  5. Stay fully managed so Lonnie can run the bar instead of worrying about the website.

The AM Perspectives Solution

I was able to reclaim the website and get Lonnie’s online presence working again. Once the immediate problem was handled, Lonnie and I continued refining the site through several revisions as the business and its needs changed.

The current website is an ultra fast, mobile friendly site managed by AM Perspectives. It gives visitors a clear path to the parts of Lonnie’s story they are most likely to care about: the staff, featured photos, Cowgirls at Lonnie’s, the history of the room, and the details that help them plan their night.

The design keeps the bar’s personality in the foreground. Lonnie’s is not trying to feel like a quiet restaurant or a generic entertainment venue. It is a place where people come to hear good singers, cheer for friends, pick a song, and see what happens next.

Work Included

  • Website Recovery: I reclaimed the website after the original web provider disappeared and restored Lonnie’s online presence.
  • Website Design and Revisions: I have built and refined multiple versions of the site since 2008.
  • Mobile Friendly Performance: The current site is built to be fast and easy to use on phones and desktop computers.
  • Content and Navigation: Clear paths to the staff, featured photos, Cowgirls at Lonnie’s, history, and a night out at the bar.
  • Ongoing Management: AM Perspectives handles the website so Lonnie has a direct person to call when something needs attention.

What the Website Makes Easier

  • Finding Lonnie’s: Locals and visitors have a clear online place to learn about Nashville’s karaoke destination.
  • Planning a night out: The site gives people a quick way to decide whether Lonnie’s is the kind of place they want to visit.
  • Seeing the personality: Photos, staff information, and history help the online experience feel connected to the room itself.
  • Using a phone: The current site is fast and mobile friendly for people making plans on the go.
  • Keeping the business online: Lonnie did not have to start over after his original web provider disappeared.
  • Getting direct help: After more than 15 years, Lonnie has someone who knows the website and can manage it as the business changes.

The best part of this project is the relationship behind it. Lonnie’s Western Room has gone through several versions of its website, but the goal has stayed the same: make it easy for people to find the room, understand the atmosphere, and come sing a song.

If your business has been left with an outdated or abandoned website, I can help recover what can be recovered, build a better version, and stay available to manage it after launch.
