Case Study: MJ Miller | An Artwork First Website

The Client

MJ Miller is a Christian author, teacher, and artist. I’ve worked with her for more than seven years. I first converted her website to WordPress, and we recently gave it a new home with a complete relaunch.

The Objective

MJ wanted a beautiful website that put her Christian artwork first. Her three books and teaching also needed to be easy to find, alongside a simple way for readers and visitors to stay connected.

The Work

I rebuilt the site with Astro as its foundation. Pages now load much faster, and the design gives MJ’s artwork the attention it deserves. Visitors can explore her art and galleries, then find her books, teaching, and blog without having to hunt around.

I also built a custom content management system, or CMS, so MJ can update the site herself at any time. She can add new artwork, publish blog posts, and improve her galleries as her work grows. A mailing list connection and custom contact form make it easier for people to keep in touch with her.

What’s Easier Now

The website brings MJ’s creative work and teaching together in one place. Her art leads the experience, while her books and teaching remain easy to reach. When she has something new to share, she can update the site right away instead of waiting for a developer to make a routine content change.

The new site builds on a relationship that began with her WordPress website more than seven years ago. This relaunch gives MJ a faster, more flexible home for the work she continues to create and share.
